A Chinese Elm......... Repotted and Happier!
The only deciduous tree I had that was clean of bugs was/is this Chinese Elm. It had been in a much smaller pot last year. It didn't grow much last year, having few lackluster leaves.
A couple of weeks ago I found a really cool funky pot (to go with a really funky looking tree) that accepted the semi-cascade branch and the apex. I believe the tree is much happier as all of the end buds have broken dormancy , swelled, and now are beginning to sprout. I think it's going to be a good year for this tree.
This tree was one of the 2 trees I bought, in 2010. They were the first bonsai I had.
