BIRD ON A WIRE

This may be the same kestrel as a couple of weeks ago, it's certainly in the same territory, and it was just as obliging. When I saw it on top of a telegraph pole I got out of the car and took several photos, then it flew into the next field and then returned to the pole, a little lower and closer to me (extra) and stayed there for about five minutes. It flew off again and then came straight back and preened its feathers on the wire above my head, just checking every so often to make sure I wasn't being threatening. It made my day!
