Chindlifrässerbrunne

Again a Swiss German word, to be translated as ‚Child Eater Fountain‘. It is one of the old city of Bern‘s fountains from the 16th century. It represents a sitting Ogre devouring a naked child. There are different theories about the meaning of the fountain, including the one to frighten disobedient children.
