Trees over a Duckpond

A river that is finally going down, although still above normal levels and flowing fast. Normally it wouldn't be 'flat as a duck pond' - it would be full of rowers, scullers and kayakers, but alas it is still red flagged (down from Oxford University Rowing Clubs desperate 'flag of doom' which briefly appeared on their website and has now mysteriously disappeared). But red flag still means no rowing....

On a happier note we're off to Monmouth Christmas Head tomorrow, the River Wye clearly being a lot better behaved than the Isis. And the best news is that it is not a crack of dawn start, but a leisurely 8.15am....
