Baptist Chapel on a Tuesday

The Baptist Chapel was built with funds raised by Ann Dutton and her husband in the 1740s. Though it is no longer used for services it makes a friendly coffee shop on Tuesday and Sundays. People swop books and local crafts people bring their products to sell. Occasionally a woman who can mend or alter most clothing items sets up her sewing machine.

I thought the sign was not really in keeping with the serious double door of a place of worship but reflects the welcome for all the local people who drop in.
