The Stockport Railway viaduct is the largest brick built structure in the UK Not much more to say about Stockport except that many in the hatting industry there got dementia from the mercury used in the production process.Oh and journalist Owen Jones comes from Stockport. And that’s the river Mersey on its way to Liverpool.
