Impromptu drive

G has a very short day today. It's so short, she was home by 10:20 having already done a shop at Spinneys! As we're enjoying cooler weather, she wanted to make the most of the day. so she prepared a picnic and we headed to the East Coast.

We went on the old route which goes right through Sharjah. Unfortunately, we got caught up in quite a lot of traffic which was unexpected. The rest of the way was fine. It was hard not to notice how much things are changing. There is so much more building and development. Some parts look exactly the same though i.e. neglected.

We kept going forward so came home via a different route. My blip is taken on the road we usually travel on to get to the Oman border, except we're travelling in the opposite direction. I love that we have mountains in the UAE. They may be bare, but they have their own beauty!
