Defense de monter sur la glace

Just the thinnest layer of ice here, but only the gulls are the right size to walk on it. The park was stunning in the late afternoon light. I walked through it on my way back from seeing Romain Rolland's home at 162, boul. Montparnasse (right across the street from the Closerie des Lilas). I figure this would have been the way he would have walked, though the park, on his way to the Sorbonne to give his musicology lectures.
