When Leaves Don't Leave

Did someone have a Blip recently called "Marcescence"?  Or is that another one of my weird vocabulary improving dreams?

Anyway, Marcescence is the retention of dead plant organs that normally get shed.  

There is a case to be made for coining the word "Mayescence" to represent the retention of a dead political organism after the whole idea of a plan's existence has been trampled into the...  

I've tried to remain out of that particular pile of political sch..adenfreude.

It's gone beyond politics now.  It's now about  making sure that the blame lies solely and squarely on the Prime Minister's shoulders.  All other considerations are a very distant second - mainly because they affect people and not politicians.

I promise not to say another word about it.
