A very interesting exhibition

to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the Hospital Real.
This magnificent building is used today as the Rectory, and the site of the University Central Library.
I have borrowed this explanation from the University of Granada web site:

The Rector is the highest academic authority in the University, acts as its representative and directs, governs and manages it.
The Rectory building is the official office of the Rector and his governing team. It is located in the Hospital Real, a historic building in the city of Granada designed by order of the Catholic Monarchs in 1504. It was originally used as a hospital and later as a prison, and it is now the central headquarters of the Universidad de Granada for the Rector's Office and other University departments.
