School reunion

Nigel had a surprise in store this morning. When they lived in Germany people often had friends round for breakfast, so this morning Clive and Pauline arrived. We had all been colleagues at the same high school, where Pauline still works. We had 87 years of service between us, and lots of catching up to do. Luckily Mr C and Clive’s new partner could talk about their camper van travels as we reminisced!

After leaving there we drove 15 minutes along country lanes to reach our old neighbours for lunch. Their son is a chum of Ed Sheehan (Sheeran?) and had recently been to his stag do and wedding. Apparently they were flown by private jet, not to Las.Vegas, for the stag do, but to Exeter!

Then it was down the A14 to Ipswich to stay with Carole and David, who had invited Carole’s ex round as he and Mr C are chums from the old days. He has recently split from his partner and is quite cheery about it. Not easy at 70.

A lovely social day but we are having an early night!
