Nicky and her Nikon

A sunny Sunday

Thomas had a wonderful evening last night, and although they got to bed in the early hours of the morning he was clear headed today and felt fine!

It was very cold today but beautifully sunny, and I noticed that they have cut down all the shrubs and vegetation along the river bank so that it now has a much more open view now, so I could not resist taking a photo of the reflection of Cedar House in the river. It is a beautiful grade II listed property that used to be a little hotel with an excellent restaurant, but sadly closed down nearly 10 years ago. Since then it has stood empty - someone bought it, did some alterations but now it is once again standing empty, possibly waiting for a new buyer. It would be perfect for a top chef to take over as a restaurant and auberge.

We had a late lunch at a favourite pub in the next village - Gavin and I walked there, walking very briskly it took just over an hour, as we felt the need to enjoy the sunshine and be outdoors. Thomas drove there later and met us at the pub. It was a late celebratory lunch for his good news this week and for his birthday.

When we came out it was about 4pm and I could see a beautiful sunset starting to form. I did not have my camera with me and was upset to miss the sunset - I will try to catch it another day this week. I did get a photo of the super moon in the early evening sky, as tonight it is 'super blood wolf moon' but I won't be getting up early to photograph it at 5am
