This is shot 5 of 5 in a series (right from here); I particularly like 1/5 and 3/5, but this looks like the reverse angle of my Christmas Day blip which made it stand out for me.

My mother and I went to St. James's Park in the early afternoon to see the Ross'sling and its kin (all four were together!); it was overcast and dark, but it was lovely to see them, and the pelicans, and an avian affray over bread...
I took lots of photos of the pelicans up close in portrait format because a friend asked for a pelican picture for printing on an A5 card, and upright images are more suited for the purpose...
