Charity day

Today I popped out of work to collect food from local churches for our town foodbank. A friend and I do this once a month. It takes an hour and a half. So little time but having a team of us doing it we make a difference between us. Lots of breakfast cereal, a lot lighter than when they want rice or tins!

Tonight, with a team of 5, we recorded for our local Talking Newspaper. Between us we read the local newspaper for those who have sight problems. Again, just 2 hours of my time, once every 2 months to make a difference. No tricky words to say tonight so it all went smoothly!

If you've every thought of volunteering then do. So little time can make a difference even if it's just once a month.
