When I was ten i remember bringing small bouquets of lily-of-the-valley to school to lay at the bottom of the statue of Our Blessed Virgin. I picked the flowers from the side of my house, wrapped the stems in wet tissue and then wrapped a layer of aluminum foil around it. The flowers had a wonderful scent, and I loved Mary.
