Off to the beach

Today more discussion with the light relief of a trip to the seaside - to see the remains of a wood preserved in a layer of peat on the shore.
Discussion became intense and I certainly felt I had little to contribute to the forty minutes on whether the Medieval period ended in 1500, 1550, 1600 or 1650. I could imagine birding discussions to be as fascinating to outsiders.
