It’s certainly time for another cultural mini break. This time we’re staying in the Aldgate/ Tower Bridge area, and the charming young man on reception has given us an upgrade.

This is our view from the window. My blip is the better photo, showing the Gherkin and other dramatic buildings in the City. My extra shows the view towards the Thames. The Shard stands out of course, and typical of this great city, you may spot the Tower of London, hiding to the west.

Pinter tonight. Tchaikovsky tomorrow,........just getting excited.
