A grand day!
This morning Shelagh's daughter was persuaded to join us for a dog walk, her last day at home before her skiing trip. We went to Shell Bay, walked though the woods in the dappled sunshine and along the beach. It was lovely. Bright sunshine, blue, blue sea and gentle waves, it was perfect.
In the afternoon I took myself off to Toppings in St Andrews and shaved a little off our Christmas book token! I was in there so long that I was offered two cups of coffee! It is a wonderful place to explore, so many books to browse, not a place to go if your time is limited though!
We had a leisurely dinner off our knees and had a last long chat before I leave in the morning. I do enjoy being here, S and I get on so well, having known each other for more than 40 years, it is very easy to slot into each other's lives. I know the area pretty well now too and it feels like coming home in a way.
