The project I am working on has their big go-live date this weekend, so I'm keeping all my digits crossed that it all goes well. Otherwise, it's going to be a very interesting in a totally not-good way couple of days.

Went outside at lunchtime to do some pre-Christmas posting and getting a birthday card for my wife, even though we have a moratorium on such frivolities. Actually, I think the agreement is that she can be forgiven to not bother with my birthday, and I can be forgiven to give her a nice surprise for her birthday...

I saw this subject against this dark background and thought she would really stand out. I can't say it was the easiest shoot: having to set ISO 1600 f/1.8 at 1:00pm in order to get a steady shot is somewhat depressing. And I managed to put the camera into manual-focus mode. And I should have thought up a much better pose for her.
