Keep your head

If you can keep you head when all about you are losing theirs.... (the opening line to Rudyard Kipling's poem, If), pretty much sums up how I felt today. Went into Cambridge to attempt to get some Christmas shopping done. Not entirely successful as the whole of Cambridge seemed to be full of people panicking as if Christmas is tomorrow. (It's not!)

It also appeared that they were recording the Carol Service at Kings College today. Lots of media trucks and cabling near Kings College Chapel, which does ruin the photo op, so here's Henry!

This marvellous statue of Henry VIII is on the Kings Parade side of the college. Well known for his six wives and the beheading of 2 of them! Apparently there were 72,000 executions during his reign.
