White-faced Heron.....

.....preening.

Enjoyed ambling round at South Shore in Kaikoura. We watched this heron preening and a couple of oyster catchers bathing in rock pools. Plenty of gulls around as fishing boats came in, people on jet skis while others paddled canoes.......it was so peaceful.

Good to get some more backblips up :)
