ROYAL MILE

I'm back from my flying visit to Scotland's Capital City, sadly not on The Flying Scotsman!!!  Train there was 45 minutes late arriving, 40 minutes late by arrival.

At least on arrival it was very sunny all day, just one short sharp shower when we were inside having lunch.  Very very cold thought, but gorgeous.

The trip to the Bank was successful and much grovelling by them was had, so a successful visit.  Just a shame it had to be done at all really. It's just going to a different branch and getting a much better service.

Nice lunch at the Maison Bleue Bistro in Morningside with good food and good service.  Morningside isn't as lovely as I remember it, but Bruntsfield looks worth a visit.

Will be going back up in February but this time for a tourist visit.  Never really had time for photos today but managed to clicked this on the way back to Waverley.  Not really a good photo, but it is St Giles, which is always lovely.
