Helping dad with paperwork and he found this old 'Penny Policy' document that his mother took out for him in 1935. The premium was 'fourpence' a month - that's about 1.5p in today's money. We've drafted a letter to the insurance company who now holds the records for The Pioneer Life Assurance Company Limited and will hopefully find out the status (probably cashed in by Granny long ago to help pay for sherry & bingo!)
