Literature

The Mitchell is one of the top linbraries in Europe if not the world. 

Above the main/front entrance are two statues - Wisdom and Literature.  Wisdom is just above the front door, and this is Literature which is on top of the dome.

She is wearing some lightweight clothing not at all appropriate for that exposed location up there - must be freezing!   Perhaps explains why with her left hand she is pulling up her hood.  In her right hand is a partially unfurled scroll. .
