Through The Glass

It rained pretty hard today, and steadily. Not much outdoor stuff for me. Here's another of our spar(w)rens, but this time I think I can say Golden  Crowned Sparrow with reasonable certainty. He was devouring the seeds on this clematis in between raindrops, flinging his head from side to side and having a high old time.

The rain was good for getting things done: the couch has been fully redeemed from the cats, their scratching post has been re-roped, and we got new tires put on the car; our intrepid garden helper worked uncomplainingly in the downpour, winter-pruning several trees. Lots of things to cross off the list!
