Miami Beach

We continued our journey today, finally arriving at our hotel in Miami Beach around 5pm. We spend three nights here, meeting Laura from Miami airport late Friday afternoon, then driving over to Anna Maria Island near Bradenton, on the west coast, where we will stay the rest of the time. Our hotel was on the coast, and parking was at a premium, so we used the valet parking, which was the cheapest option, if you weren’t going to be using your car much. We picked out a Mediterranean restaurant for dinner, which was rather too far to walk, and not having worked out public transportation yet, we took an Uber. We had a good dinner, then walked part of the way back to the hotel along Ocean Drive, providing me with my Blip, then catching the free trolley bus for the last stretch.
