These hellebores surprised me in the garden after Copper’s walk this morning, looking so fresh and pretty in a raised bed.
Later on it was time for the WI lunchtime meeting, the first of the year. After delicious soups and a wonderful Caribbean cake, we heard a presentation from the Lord’s Larder, a local food bank organisation. This dispelled any doubts as to the way in which these food banks are used. Food parcels are tailored to the size of family and accessed only through agencies, such as the Citizens Advice Bureau.
It was good to see everyone together again and catch up after the Christmas break!
