Blown away with Mal

The Husband took today off work, as he only arrived back from Malaysia yesterday afternoon and needed a bit of a rest to catch up with himself with jet laggy type things. The best bit of the day off, was that it gave the pair of us a chance to have a final catch up with Mal before he returns to live with his wife in China on Monday.

Mal has been living with his parents here in Auckland in the past 11 months to complete his teaching qualification, as he's been working in Asia for the past decade-ish as a teacher. Really he's a musician. He's got a concert on Sunday night, and is in rehearsals tonight and tomorrow, so time was very fine for being able to have a last catch up.

The Husband has known Mal since they were 5 and I've known him since I was 10. Quite a bit of history, and also a lot of laughs.

It has been horrifically windy again today. Actually, I won't exaggerate as yesterday's wind had fatal consequences in West Auckland with a tornado being deadly for some men working on building a school. So it wasn't horrific today, but it was very blowy.
