Flapjack
I made flapjacks to take to our morning coffee date with Shirley this morning. They were mostly fat, sugar and treacle delicious.
Recipe
Butter/margarine: 5oz
Brown sugar: 3oz
Black treacle: 3oz
Porridge oats: 6oz
Mix of pine nuts, sunflower seeds, desiccated coconut, craisins: 2oz
Melt the first three ingredients then mix in everything else. Bake in a greased tray for 30 minutes at 190 degrees, then cut and cool.
This afternoon I popped out on my bike for an hour. Afterwards Mummy hazelh helped me with a small sewing project. I will blip this when it is finished.
My not-so-little sister arrived in Edinburgh by train this evening. Jon was interested in meeting her, so he joined us for dinner (carrot and sweet potato soup, cheese and prawn ramekins, roast chicken, trifle). Now he knows...
Exercise today: 10 mile bike ride, walking (10,523 steps, mainly to the station and back to meet my sister).
