Victorian paradise

First day over and I survived! Yay! It was an interesting start... as I walked up towards the clinic a beautiful blue exotic short hair trotted toward me and I was completely unaware if he was supposed to race me into the clinic or not, so, not wanting to let the local waif and stray in on my first day, I momentarily dropped him outside. I was spotted by a stroppy nurse who told me off because "he lives here... he comes and goes as he pleases" ... Like I should know?!! Thankfully about an hour later 2 young colleagues entered the clinic and were instantly friendly and happy to meet me. I even got a dinner invite within a few hours.
The photo is of the decking behind the cottage I am staying - inside it is a beautiful victorian house decked out in full Christmas paraphernalia. My only concern... there's no internet ;(
