Donnan Ladies

I seem to have been cooking all day. I bought a massive bit of rolled rump which needed slow cooking, I've never slow cooked beef before so this was a voyage of discovery which meant I needed to buy an oven proof meat thermometer. What a fine gadget that is.  It meant I could cook the meat for 4 hours and know exactly when it was cooked to the correct point of rareness (very). It worked perfectly.

The main highlight for the day however was Alf scoring and being man of the match, he was well chuffed with that one.
