T-shirt weather.

The frost slipped away in the night but ground still frozen. The full sun was warm enough to work briefly stacking wood I cut before Christmas in a t shirt.

Brexit now cranking up to its full and unpredictable madness. We have the following in the cool room from last year’s harvest:

20kgs potatoes (sprouting)
7kgs onions/shallots
Large squash x 3
3kg dried haricot beans
25kg walnuts
30 big jars fig jam and chutney
3l olive oil
In ground
- cavallo Nero
- romanesco
- purple and Savoy cabbage
- Swiss chard
- a few leeks that made it through depredations of leek moth attack

The ground is v dry at moment and when I thawed I’ll get the cultivator out.

We pulled back the winter troops to Fiesole for some R&R after three days on the frontline. Those guys at Bastogne don’t know the half of it.
