Glass of Chardonnay

Surprisingly enjoyable. This country was not made for drinking white wine. White wine has to be drunk in 28 degree sunshine while you're sitting with your feet in a swimming pool eating salt & vinegar crisps, leaving greasy suntan lotion finger prints on the glass. Not when you have 3 layers of clothing on in a centrally heated house, forlornly staring at the dark and wet outside at 16:00.

Quick visit to Makro, leftover paptert for lunch and the cutting and salting biltong to be hung tomorrow.

Mutton shoulder for supper. Nice surprise to see mutton at Makro. One doesn't often get mutton here. Some artisan butcheries may have and others may be able to get if you order, but one very rarely sees it in supermarkets.
