Just home after a 14 hour shift - I was asked to lie on as cover for a colleague absent through sickness.

Journey home was treacherous - snow getting progressively more hazardous as I climbed the hills to my home. Car slipping and sliding on the un-treated roads. And all the time my 4x4 was sitting on the driveway at home. Sigh.
