Flamme Rouge

Paul's birthday today, so after he'd had a day out with friends in London, he came home to a steak dinner and a game of Flamme Rouge - a board game that is based on a cycle race. It's good fun, with a good mixture of tactics and luck.

In other news, I went out on a 22 mile cycle ride this morning, with a group I've not cycled with before but will definitely be going again. I haven't really been out much for the last year or so, maybe even longer, but it's time to start again and this group seem very friendly and relaxed - no pressure to keep up and they really do go at the pace of the slowest. I haven't done 22 miles for a long while, but I managed to keep up ok, at least until the last few miles when I was definitely tiring. Fortunately, it wasn't too hilly, and there was a lovely coffee stop at the end. I was pretty knackered the rest of the day though, but hopefully that will improve as I do more rides like this. 

That's the intention anyway!
