A dipper in the Ceiriog

F and I went for a walk along the River Ceiriog and made the most of a mild but grey day. We saw either two pairs of dippers or the same pair twice, it's difficult to judge!  It was a lovely walk as always and there were lots of winter fungi around.

A large group of young people were walking in the opposite direction and we got chatting to a young man who told us that three friends had birthdays close together and it had become a tradition to rent a cottage for the weekend which was close by - there were 28 staying so fortunately it's a very large one!  As we got back to the car they were playing rounders in the field. It was good to see them having outdoor fun.
