Atlantic
After years of hoping to just see the tail of a Trachinotus Falcatus (or Permit) waving in the air I finally saw that sight a week ago amongst the breaking waves of the reefs on Guadeloupe.
Since then it has been a lot of long dawn stumbles along the coral rubble and more than one spearing of a foot on the ever present sea urchins. In that time I've seen a lot of permit tails, some very large, but every cast has been met with indifference to outright horror by the fish. Until today. :)
The fish is a virtual black and silver twin of the gold and silver Trachinotus Blochii I caught in the Seychelles a couple of years ago.
