Customisation

I spotted this bicycle parked up next to a stall in the market this morning. The bike’s owner came up and I chatted to him about his unusual machine. He has customised it himself adding a lawnmower engine and taking other parts from a mobility scooter and now has a motorised bicycle capable of around 40 mph. He has been stopped by the police but the only advice he has been given is to get some indicators. He is not quite sure whether it is legal but if the police let it pass then he will carry on riding.
