Boy + Ninja

MrsCyclops headed off to London today, so I (Cyclops) did nursery pick up.

I asked CyclopsJnr what he would like to do, and said "I'd like to go and look at toys I could have for my birthday".  He confirmed he understood there would be no buying involved, so we went to a toyshop and spend 45 minutes looking around and chatting about the toys.  He was perfectly behaved, and left quite happily to think about what he might want!

After that, I asked if he minded if I went to the shop to look at shoes.  He said that was OK, and completely charmed the young lady tasked with finding something (anything, just anything) that would fit my oddly broad feet.  CyclopsJnr chatted to her happily about his future plans (children, finding someone to be their mummy, having his own car, his wedding, cake after dinner, rugby tomorrow etc. etc.) while I tried various shoes (ultimately successfully).

We came home and wrapped a parcel for a party tomorrow, and now he's settled down to watch Tom and Jerry's Robin Hood while he has his dinner.  One happy (but tired after his first week back at nursery) boy.
