Another hobby!

Another way I spend my time is trying to do some writing. 

As a kid I used to really enjoy writing stories, then got into the sciences for a job, which is a completely different style and you can't really use your imagination. 

I joined a creative writing group. We have a subject each week and are encouraged to read our pieces out. We're not big on critiquing pieces, it's purely for the enjoyment of it. And I am enjoying it, though I do get nervous doing the reading. 

It's amazing how ten people can take one word and come up with ten very different stories.

I'm hoping to do a longer piece someday.
