.....the weather outside is......
absolutely shocking.....but....it definitely isn't snowing.
Hebs will probably be on here tonight claiming it snowed today....and I failed to predict it....in fact categorically said it would not snow.
Now here's the thing....around about noon there was something vaguely snow like falling from the sky....it was white....and wet....and it lasted for about 20 minutes. But....it wasn't snow....well not real snow as we North-Easterners and Honorary Siberians understand it. It didn't stick on the ground for more than 5 minutes...it quickly turned to rain.....it just wasn't right...so it doesn't count. The populace round here (Manchester area, or as I call it "The Midlands") just aren't used to real snow....so they get over excited any time something vaguely white tumbles out of the sky.....I've tried educating them for nearly 40 years but it's just no good....they don't get it....to be real snow it has to be big, crisp, dry flakes....it has to fall for several hours....it has to cover all of the ground, not just the flat surfaces....and to a reasonable depth.....and it has to stay for at least a couple of weeks......
Now I'll sit back and wait for the abuse to come winging in.
