Ducklings!

There's not doubt about it, Wombat Bend is definitely a glorious place to be if you love wildlife, particularly of the bird variety.  These beautiful little ducklings were very obliging as they swam backwards and forwards in the Billabong right where we were all sitting.  I can't even start to count the number of images I took as they showed off their swimming talents.  I loved this shot because they were all in formation with a proud parent following on behind.

We'll have another couple of pretty lazy days here before heading on up the hill to our own Wombat Sanctuary.

PS - I just went over to the large version and I'm really pleased to see the image with the dark surround.
