Flying High
Before the rain set in this afternoon, I went for a bit of a wander with my birding gear. Unsurprisingly not a lot around other than some jays and towhees scratching around in the undergrowth and scrub looking for something to feed on in the melting snow.
A sharp-shinned hawk flew high overhead - quite a small bird of prey so the image is heavily cropped.
Back home to a nice cosy fire going, as the grey landscape outside darkens and the evening chill descends.
