WITH A SONG IN MY HEART

I bought my China Cabinet a few years ago for £10 in a charity shop. It was dark brown wood but I could see its potential. As soon as we got it home I set about sanding it down and then painted it in ivory Satinwood paint. It looked lovely filled with my collection of 1930's-40's china.
Now we've moved house and decorated the cabinet looked a bit bland against white walls so I decided to vamp it up a bit. I mixed some paint that I already had - off white with a touch of dark grey. The idea was that light grey would be a good contrast with the brightly coloured, odd assortment of pottery and glasses and would match in with the sofas and curtains.
However, after sanding and applying one coat I am not happy with the colour, it's a bit too bluey. Tomorrow I will mix the paint a bit more and see if it comes out with a warmer grey colour.
Watch this space for the end result - in a few days ;-)
