Tasty treats.

We decided to do the supermarket shop a day early this week, as the weather looks as if it will be better tomorrow, and we thought we would have a day out.

Sainsbury’s in Halifax has an in store bakery, and we always treat ourselves to one of their strawberry tarts. Excellent value at £1.30 each. Much tastier than the ones they sell from Patisserie Valerie which are £3.50 each.
It’s a good job we only go there once a month.

We did have some sun today and a little warmer at 8C.
I did some gardening this afternoon. It felt so good to be out in the garden again. Just tidied up, but it looks better. Don’t know where all the leaves have come from as I cleared them all at the end of November.

It is now just over a week since MrC had his cataract operation. He is still amazed how well he can see out of that eye. Just 2 more weeks of putting the drops in and then off to the opticians for a checkup and sort his glasses out.
