PECULIAR PEOPLE DAY

It's 'Peculiar People Day' today. And I know I'm not a human, but there's no one more peculiar than me?!


This morning I went for my walk with Alfie, the Beardie. We went along the old mineral tramway and it was fun! Normally on my morning walk I walk slower than a snail Ann's words, not mine and Ann gets angry with me. This morning I walked sensibly on my lead, keeping up with Alfie, and then when I got let off my lead, I kept up with him as well. Ann was really happy with me. And Sue, (Ann's sister) doesn't believe that I'm slower than a snail first thing in the morning.


But then guess what happened?.................. We drove from Derbyshire to Edinburgh and stopped at Teebay Services on the M6 where there is a nice little dog walking route. And I walked slower than a snail. Ann's words, not mine.


And then we popped into Lockerbie and had a little reminiscent walk around (because Ann hasn't been there since the early 1980s when one of her friends lived there). And I walked slower than a snail. Ann's words, not mine.


When we got home I got taken on another little walk, but to be honest I didn't really want to go. I just wanted to have a little snooze in my own comfy bed. So I walked slower than a snail. Ann's word, not mine.


I am a very peculiar dog?!


I've got osteoarthritis so Ann doesn't want to exert me. On the other hand, if I want to do something, I can. Sometimes my very lovely owner Ann thinks that all my problems are psychosomatic? She thinks that I'm becoming a bit of a diva in my old age.


Oh well, ho hum, it's 'Peculiar People Day'. ….............And I'm a 'peculiar' dog.
