Festive

A shorter-than-usual walk for a Wednesday and also one that was right on our doorstep. The reason was that we were having our Festive Lunch today at the Boardwalk Restaurant near the Falkirk Wheel.

We met there at 10am and started by walking through the woods to Rough Castle at Bonnybridge, then looped back towards the Wheel (see extra photo) before joining the Union Canal. After heading east along the Union Canal for a bit, as far as Summerford, we dropped down to join the Forth and Clyde Canal at Camelon and from there made our way back to the car park (main photo).

A sunny but cold day. Lunch was rather good too. And not a Christmas jumper in sight!
