Kebab

As the only one in the house during the day, I had the job of de-Christmassing the place good and proper. It took a l-o-n-g time...

A parcel arrived from my dad. He was always into his stamps when I was growing up - I have very vivid memories of whole rooms with sheets of newspaper on the floor around the perimeter, up right next to the skirting boards, covered in stamps drying after they'd been soaked off from God knows where. And then they'd get sorted and looked at and catalogued and then hinged and mounted and stuck in albums and....it kept him happy. He did spend a *lot* of time upstairs in the study that's for sure. I don't think he minded that I had no interest in them whatsoever...

Anyway, he sent me a parcel of philatelic bits and bobs including some of these pre-decimal stitched booklets which are really lovely little items. This one from 1966 is a particularly pleasing one.
