Kingfisher
We decided today to walk the Grand Western Canal from Burlescombe towards Tiverton. I always have my camera, but for some reason decided before we left home to fit the 70mm - 200mm lense - I haven't used it for about 6 months.
We couldn't beleive our luck when we saw the kingfisher sitting on the opposite canal bank, droping from the branches into the canal like a stone to fish. Undeterred by our presence, we stood for ages, and eventually left him to fish while we headed back to the car. If that wasn't reward enough for the getting out on a frosty morning, there was a heron, and another kingfisher fishing at the end of the walk near the car.
