Angela Maria and Roberto Carlos

Saw those two LPs when we were out this morning for a fresh fruit juice in the Shopping Dos Antiquarios.  Here's a wee taste of Angela Maria for you.  She died last year at 89:

We discovered her when we lived in Sao Paulo and used to go to a little cafe/antique shop round from our flat there and Eduardo, one of the owners used to play her music. We asked him who it was and then asked Nidia our lovely Portuguese teacher where we might be able to buy a cd of her music.  Nidia hooted and giggled as she thought it was great that we were looking for such an 'old' singer.   There's another story that involves Roberto Carlos, Nidia, and our naivety but that's for another day!
